Regret The Error exposes Canadian media stupidity
"This isn't a correction, but it's one heck of an error on the website of CTV, Canada's number one broadcaster. It's in a story about the reaction to newspaper cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed:
One of the cartoons depicts the Prophet wearing a bomb-shaped turban with a burning fuse.
In another, a Soviet star and cresent moon are superimposed over his face."

Have they always been this stupid? The answer is yes. Back in the 80s, I caught a TV news story about young Czechs protesting something or other, having just returned home from protesting something or other myself. The announcer declared, "And here we see hundreds of young people, all holding up solemn black flags of mourning."
My then-boyfriend choked on his Kraft Dinner and growled at the set, "They're anarchists, you genius!"
