Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be slave girls
Funny, but seeing a little white girl wearing a headscarf on the front page of this morning's Toronto Star just doesn't make me feel like "celebrating" --"diversity" or anything else. Oddly enough!I'm willing to bet $100 that the little black, Pakistani and Chinese boys in this class weren't forced to wear kilts or lederhosen or Star of David pendants.
The teacher sounds like a real airhead (or wait, that's redundant...):
The concept occurred to Sen at a difficult time in her life, on March 14, 2004, when she was teaching her dying father how to make an origami paper crane, a symbol of peace and hope in Japanese culture. And she's a frickin' Hindu! Yeah, that's what I did at my dying mother's bedside -- "learn to make Inuit soapstone carvings of walruses or no morphine for you!!"
Speaking of dying, I was really praying I'd be dead by the time Toronto came to embrace sharia, but I guess not. Thanks for nothing, Jesus!
