So, what's Free Piglet! about?.

In October 2005, stories began surfacing in the British press about a) militant Muslims and/or b) their p.c. dupes, trying to ban pictures of pigs, such as those you'd see on Winnie the Pooh calendars or coffee mugs.

Allegedly, such images are "offensive to Muslims."

A rash of these stories led to the cheeky Free Piglet! campaign, which is our way of pushing back against those obsessed with political correctness and (one-way) tolerance.

Check out the sites below to see what's been happening so far:

OCTOBER 23 UPDATE: Welcome back, Michelle Malkin readers. Feel free to look around -- and sign up for RSS or email updates if you like what you see.

For the latest news about Free Piglet! and whether or not we've won one round, visit my partner in anti-dhimmitude, Lost Budgie.

And thanks to Damian Penny, for alerting me to Silent Running's contribution to the Free Piglet! campaign:

Silent Running says: If you find this image offensive, my work is done. That's the spirit!

UPDATE 3: More bloggery piggery!

Piglet Banned in British Municipal Office -- "Offends Muslim Staff":

"...some British schools have also removed or restricted the following 'anti-Muslim' children's books... The Three Little Pigs, Charlottes Web, Babe:The Sheep-pig, Cars and Trucks and Things That Go, Olivia Saves the Circus, Animal Farm."

"Previous U.K. successes include banning a 100 year old statue of a wild boar, police seizure of porcelain pigs displayed in the window of a private home, and the removal of a sign referring to "pork" at a British pub frequented by butchers."

UPDATE: With Issue shows us her pig!

UPDATE 2: Welcome, Michelle Malkin readers! Join the FREE PIGLET campaign:

Let's all put pictures of pigs everywhere.

Stick a Piglet toy on the ledge behind the back seat of your car. Put a dozen pig pictures up at your work cubicle. Make sure your kids wear pig costumes at Halloween, especially if they go to a "diverse" elementary school. Build snow pigs on your front lawn. Dig out that MAKIN' BACON t-shirt from 1974 that your wife only lets you wear to wash the car.

Any pig screensavers out there? Any artists want to make a Free Piglet campaign button for websites?

Your suggestions are welcome; send your FREE PIGLET ideas to kshaidle-at-rogers.com and I will post the best on this blog.
